BRIEF:

Street Beatz is Wollongong’s largest Street Dance studio, with hundreds of students that enrol yearly to learn multiple disciplines in Street Dance. Each year they hold an end of year concert in which all students participate and showcase routines to hundreds of families and friends. Each year there is a theme that the showcase follows, usually something from popular media with a Hip Hop Twist. For multiple years I was approach and tasked with creating the end of year concert shirt each student would be handed out, not only to wear at the show but serve as a memory of the dedication and hard they put in throughout the year.

SOLUTION:

As each year the theme was different, I was informed of the theme, and would have to create something that reflected the show, but also make it appealing to the students who ages range from 5 to 18. The shirt also had to be unique enough to reflect the show but also casual enough that it could be worn at any time after. I was also limited in colour choices, as the shirt would be screen printed, so keeping the colour count low, to keep costs down was a plus.
